This information may include passwords or shopping cart data, which are frequently saved as cookies, as well as site data, history, and other information.

This type of saved information is usually useful because it improves the browsing experience and makes it more streamlined.

However, if you have a lot of cache on your device, it may cause some sites to operate incorrectly or the Safari browser to run slowly.

How to Clear iPhone 13 App Cache

If you want to clear the cache for an app rather than the browser cache, you will need to use another option in a separate location.

The iPhone Storage option allows you to see screens for your installed apps, where you may view data about how much data the app is taking.

On that screen, one button allows you to delete apps, while another allows you to offload programs.

By selecting Offload App, you will remove the app from the smartphone while retaining your documents and data.

Offloading an iPhone app will, however, clean its cache, so you can use that function to delete an iPhone app’s cache.

Step 1: Go to the Settings menu.

Step 2: Choose General.

Step 3: Select the iPhone Storage option.

Step 4: Choose an app.

Step 5: Select the Offload App option.

Step 6: Select Offload App once more to confirm.

As stated in the pop-up, this will delete the app while retaining its documents and data.

It’s worth noting that deleting your Safari cache will log you out of any accounts you were previously signed into. Make sure you have access to those passwords, either on the device or through a password organizer like 1Password.

Private Browsing – When you launch a private browsing session in Safari, your cookies and history are wiped as soon as you close the tab. You can enter private browsing mode by launching Safari, pressing the Tabs symbol, selecting Private from the dropdown menu.

Cookie Blocking – Other choices are available in the Safari menu within the Settings app, including the ability to block all cookies. While this prevents cookies from being saved to the device, it may have an adverse effect on your surfing experience.

iPhone Chrome cache – You may also clear the cache using the Chrome iPhone app. Open Chrome, hit the three dots, select Settings, Privacy and Security, Clear Browsing Data, then select options on that screen, and finally tap Clear Browsing Data.

iPhone Firefox cache – Similar to the Chrome cache cleaning feature, you can delete the cache in the Firefox browser. Begin by opening Firefox, touching the three lines, and then selecting Settings. Then, pick Data Management, alter the menu settings, and then touch Clear Private Data.

To restart your iPhone, press and hold the Volume Up and Power buttons simultaneously, then move the Slide to Power Off button to the right side of the screen. After a few seconds, the phone will power off; simply hold down the Power button until you see the white Apple logo. You can then re-enter your passcode and restart the device.
