Have you ever been trying to coordinate something with a group of people and attempted to manage it in separate conversations?
While it can be done, it’s more tedious to manage multiple conversations that are essentially sharing the same information.
One way to simplify this process is with a group text message conversation. This allows multiple people to all be part of the same conversation so that everyone can see all of the information for that conversation.
Your iPhone makes it easy to create group text message conversations, which will then appear as their own individual conversations inside of the default Messages app.
You can create a group texting conversation on an iPhone by opening the Messages app, creating a new message, adding the individuals for the conversation into the To field, then sending a message like normal in the message field at the bottom of the window.
That group text message will then be sent to each person that you included, and any response that anyone makes to the conversation will be visible to everyone else.

More Information on How to Create and Customize a Group Text Message on an iPhone 13
When you create a group message on your iPhone, it will appear as its own conversation in the Messages app.
While conversations with individual people are easy to manage because there is only one name in the conversation, group messages are a little different. Therefore you may want to give the group message its own name, like “Family” or “Work.”
You can change the name of a group text message on an iPhone 13 by opening the conversation in the Messages app, tapping the name at the top of the window, then tapping the Change Name and Photo option. You will then be able to enter a group name and select an image for the conversation.
After you tap the name of the group message, you are going to see a bunch of other things, too, like:
- Send My Current Location
- Share My Location
- Show in Shared with You
- Hide Alerts
- Leave this Conversation
- Photos
- Links
While the settings here that you configure will be based on your own preferences, it might be worth hiding alerts if the conversation is particularly active. There tend to be many more notifications from group text messages., and getting an alert for every new message can quickly become excessive.
