Adding an email account to your iPhone is often one of the first and most important things that you will do on the device.
But not everyone keeps their email accounts forever, and it’s possible that you have transitioned to a new Gmail account, an account with a different email provider, or even a Google Workspace account with your own domain name.
But you may still be receiving mail from that old account on your device, and you want that to stop.
You can delete an email account from your iPhone 13 by going to Settings > Mail > Accounts > select the account > Tap Delete Account > Touch Delete from my iPhone.
Once you have completed this process then you will no longer see email from that Gmail account, nor will you be able to view contacts, calendars, or notes associated with it.
Our guide below will walk you through the Gmail removal process and provide additional information that you may need.

More Information on Removing iPhone 13 Accounts
The steps in this article focus specifically on deleting a Gmail account, but they will work for other types of accounts, too, such as AOL, Yahoo, Outlook, and more.
While the process of setting up a new account on your iPhone can vary, the removal process is basically the same for everything.
Once you have removed an account from your iPhone you won’t be able to access your mail, contacts, calendars, or notes. If you would like to keep some things from the Gmail account on the device and only stop the mail, then you can turn off the Mail option and leave everything else turned on.
For example, if you don’t use that Gmail account for email anymore, but you still use the calendar, then you would want to leave the toggle to the right of Calendar turned on and green, but move the Mail option to the left.
Note that deleting a Gmail account from your phone is only going to remove the account from the device. it is not going to close or cancel your Gmail account. You will still be able to access it from a computer or another device.
