The camera on the iPhone 13 received some upgrades from the version on previous models, making it one of the better smartphone cameras on the market.
This makes it a great choice for taking both still pictures and videos, which will save to the Camera Roll in the iPhone’s default Photos app.
Once you have some files in your Photos app you can start using them in other apps or sharing them with friends and family.
You may have already sent or received pictures with a contact, but you can use the same method if you want to share a video, too.
You can share a video on an iPhone by opening the Photos app, selecting the video, tapping the Share button, then choosing how you want to share it.
The shared video file will then need to upload and send through the chosen method to the contact you selected.

The steps in this article were performed on an iPhone 13 in the iOS 15.4.1 operating system.
This guide assumes that you have already created the video that you want to share. if not, then you can open the Camera app, choose the Video option from the horizontal slider, then record the video to add it to the Photos app.
Step 1: Open the Photos app.
Step 2: Find the video file that you would like to share and select it.
Step 3: Touch the Share button at the bottom-left corner of the screen.
It’s the button that looks like a square with an arrow coming out of the top of it.
Step 4: Choose the way that you want to share the file.
Step 5: Complete the text message, email, or file upload and send the file.
Note that it can take some time for the file to upload from your device, especially if it’s a longer video, or if you don’t have a strong Internet connection.

You can use this same method to share pictures from the Photos app as well.
Another way that you can share pictures or videos easily is through the Messages app. If you open the Messages app, then choose a conversation you can tap the Photos icon in the horizontal gray bat below the message field and select the picture or movie there.
Note that most of the video files that you take with your iPhone Camera app are going to be pretty large if they are more than a few seconds long.
There are a number of different sharing options available when you want to share a video from your iPhone. These options include:

- Dropbox
- Notes
- Amazon Alexa

- Drive
- and more
All of the available options for iPhone video sharing are going to depend on the apps that you have installed on your device.
Sharing videos through messages can be difficult for longer video files, as it may take a while for the video to upload from your phone and download to the other person’s phone. They may also incur some cellular data usage if they try and watch the video while they are on a cellular network.
You may have more luck uploading the video to a cloud storage service like Google Drive or Dropbox and sharing the link from there instead, as that can be a more convenient way to share large files. For example, many email hosts won’t let you send files that are more than 25 MB in size, which most longer video files will be.
