- Open the Clock app.
- Select the Alarm tab.
- Tap Edit at the upper-left.
- Select the alarm to edit.
- Touch the Sound button.
- Choose the song that you want to play.
- Tap the Save button.

How to Set Your Alarm Tone as a Song (Guide with Pictures)
The steps in this article were performed on an iPhone 13 in iOS 16.
Step 1: Find the Clock app icon on your Home screen and open it.
Step 2: Choose the Alarm button at the bottom of the screen.
Step 3: Touch the Edit link at the top of the screen.
Step 4: Select the alarm for which you wish to use a song.
Step 5: Tap the Sound button.
Step 6: Choose the song that you want to use.
Note that you might need to scroll up to find the Songs section.
You can also choose the Pick a song option to search for a song if you don’t see the one that you want listed. Tapping that button will open the Apple Music app, where you will be able to search for and select the song.
Step 7: Tap the Save button at the top-right of the screen to save your changes.
Now that you know how to use a song for an iPhone 13 alarm, you will no longer be limited to the default Apple tones when you are setting an alarm on your device.
