Where is the Contacts Icon on an iPhone 13?

If you have been accustomed to getting to your iPhone contacts through the Phone app, then you might not realize that there is a dedicated app for contacts on the device.

But this app can be difficult to find, as it’s not only on a different screen, it’s also inside a folder.

Our tutorial below will answer the question of where is the contacts icon on an iPhone 13 so that you can find it when you need to.

How to Find the iPhone 13 Contacts App

  1. Swipe left on the Home screen.
  2. Tap the Extras folder.
  3. Touch the Contacts icon.

Our guide continues below with additional information on how to get to the iPhone 13 Contacts app, including pictures of these steps.

Your iPhone provides you with a number of ways to create, edit, and manage your contacts.

But after you have added someone as a contact through the Messages app, from an email, or via a phone call, you might be struggling to find that contact if you want to reach out to them or add some more information.

There is a dedicated Contacts app on your iPhone, and it was included on the device by default when you first set it up.

But that Contacts app is not on the first Home screen, and it’s actually not visible on the second.

You can find the iPhone 13 Contacts app by swiping left on the first Home screen, then tapping the Extras folder. You can then tap the Contacts icon to open the app.

Now you will be able to navigate through your contact list to perform whatever action you need to take in regard to the contact information you have saved to your device.

Our tutorial continues below with additional information about using contacts on an iPhone, including some other ways you can get to that information.

If you have a lot of apps in this folder, then you might need to navigate between screens inside of the folder as well, by swiping to the left or right.

If you would like to move the Contacts app out of the Extras folder, then you can tap and hold on the icon, then choose the Edit Hoem Screen option.

Once the apps are shaking, you can drag the Contacts icon to the desired location outside of the Extras folder.

More Information About the Contacts App on the iPhone 13

Perhaps the most common way to locate iPhone contacts is through the Phone app.

If you open your Phone app, you will see a Contacts tab at the bottom of the screen. Touching that tab, then scrolling through your contacts provides another option to view and manage contacts.

If you have somehow deleted the Contacts app from your iPhone, you can re-download it from the App Store. Just tap the App Store icon, search for the word “contacts” then download the app from Apple.

If you have contact information saved to one of the email accounts that you have synced to your iPhone, but those contacts aren’t showing up in the Contacts app, then you can check a setting. Go to Settings > Mail > Accounts > then tap the email account and turn on the option for Contacts, then tap Save.

Your iPhone also has a feature called “Spotlight Search” that can be very useful when you are trying to find information or apps.

If you swipe down on your Home screen it will switch to a gray search window. You can then type the name of an app, or any search term that you would like, into that search field. In the case of the Contacts app, typing the word “contacts” will return the Contacts app in a section of the search results near the top.

To the right of the search result, it will also indicate the name of the folder in which the app is currently located.
