Changing your ringtone is one of the first things that a lot of people will do when they get a new smartphone.
Typically this is an easy setting to locate, as it’s a fairly common thing to adjust.
But if you have a Google Pixel 4A and are trying to change your ringtone then you may be having some difficulty locating that device setting.
You can change the Pixel 4A ringtone by going to Phone > tap the three dots > Settings > Sound & vibration > Advanced > Phone ringtone > then searching for and setting a tone.

How to Switch Google Pixel 4A Ringtones (Guide with Pictures)
The steps in this article were performed on a Google Pixel 4A in the Android 11 operating system.
Step 1: Open the Phone app.
Step 2: Tap the three dots icon at the top-right corner of the screen.
Step 3: Select the Settings option.
Step 4: Choose the Sound & vibration option.
Step 5: Expand the Advanced section.
Step 6: Choose the Phone ringtone option.
Step 7: Browse through the available ringtones until you find one you like. You can then tap the circle next to that tone and tap the Save button to set it as the new ringtone on the device.

With the steps above you are able to find the setting that controls the sound that plays when you receive a phone call.
If a lot of the phone calls you are receiving are spam or junk calls, however, then you may want to enable the call screening feature on the device.
You can turn on the Pixel 4A call screener by opening the Phone app, tapping the three dots, choosing Settings, then selecting Spam and Call Screen.
Another way that you can get to the ringtone settings is by open the Settings app, choosing the Sound & vibration option, then choosing the ringtone from the Advanced section there instead.
