Your Google Pixel 4A has a Gmail app that you can use to send and receive emails from your Gmail or Google Workspace account.
Since it’s a Google application on a Google device, you likely assume that there is a lot that you can customize and adjust about the way the app works, and you would be correct.
One of the features that you can turn on or turn off involves confirmation pop-ups that appear before you complete certain actions, such as sending an email.
if you’ve ever accidentally sent an email to the wrong person, or written an emotional email that you maybe shouldn’t have sent, then having this extra check can be very useful.
You can turn on the send confirmation in Gmail on a Pixel 4A by going to Gmail > tapping the three lines button > Settings > general settings > then check the Confirm before sending box.
Now when you create a new email or reply to one you are going to be prompted to confirm that you actually want to send that message by Gmail before it’s sent.
Our article below provides additional information on this feature and a couple of other similar ones.
How to Add a Confirmation Before Sending Emails on a Google Pixel 4A

How to Enable or Disable the Send Confirmation in Gmail in Android 11 (Guide with Pictures)
The steps in this article were performed on a Google Pixel 4A in the Android 11 operating system. I am using the default Gmail app for this guide.
Step 1: Open the Gmail app.
If it’s not on your Home screen then you can swipe up on the Home screen to open the app list, then scroll down and choose Gmail.
Step 2: Tap the menu icon at the top-left corner of the screen.
This is the button with three horizontal lines.
Step 3: Scroll to the bottom of the column, then choose the Settings option.
Step 4: Choose the General settings option.
Step 5: Scroll to the bottom of the menu and tap the box to the right of Confirm before sending to enable it.
Now when you go to write an email from the Gmail app you are going to see a pop-up on the screen that says “Send this message?” and you will be able to choose either “Cancel” or “OK.”

More Information on Customizing Action Confirmations in Gmail on a Pixel 4A
While the steps in this article focus on the confirmation that will appear before you send an email, there are a couple of other options you can turn on as well. For example, you can also add a confirmation before you delete an email, as well as a confirmation before you archive an email.
This confirmation will only appear on this phone. It won’t appear if you are using Gmail on your laptop or desktop computer, or if you have Gmail synced with another phone or tablet.
If you have another mail app on your device it won’t affect that app either.
